Reece enjoyed his playdate at Met Milkshakes just like he always did. After finishing off their milk bottle milkshakes, the Littles did indeed go for a nice long nap over on the beanbags in the playroom and then followed that up with some fun and games on the pirate ship.

And now that Reece was back at his apartment, he was feeling nice and relaxed.

All in all, it had been a busy day.

From arriving late at Pine Rise to putting in a great effort in the practice game and then having his butt roasted by Danilo, Reece had probably gone through enough emotions to last him a whole week.

With Beans under one arm and now safely changed into his pajamas, Reece was ready to settle down for the evening and ready himself to go again tomorrow. With the practice sessions for the week normally ramping up until midweek before cooling off ahead of the big game at the weekend, Reece knew that realistically he probably only had two more days to convince Coach Tremaine that he warranted a place in the gameday squad.

‘What do you think, Beans?’ Reece asked, bringing Beans up to his ear so that his cherished bear stuffie could whisper an answer to him. ‘Can I make the team?’

Reece moved Beans’ head from up and down and then brought his black nose up close to his ear and moved it around.

‘You think I can make the team!’ Reece squealed with delight. ‘Yay! I’m so happy. Hey, let’s have some treats together and watch a movie. But we won’t stay up too late or Danilo will whoop my butt again. And I don’t want that. Well, I kind of do want it. But you know what I mean, right?’

With that, Reece hopped off the couch and decided to raid his snack drawer for some strawberries and cream Pop Tarts ahead of a movie night with Beans.

There were certainly still challenges ahead for Reece to prove his worth to Coach Tremaine and the other players, but after his special attention from Danilo, Reece was ready to attack the moment and make it count.

And as Reece was waiting for the toaster to pop, he saw his phone flash up a message. Reece assumed it would be one of his friends in their Little Group Chat, but the person messaging was very much not a Little…
